There is something undeniably magical about the first time you walk onto a ship. Our recent voyage on the Disney Treasure wasn’t just a cruise; it was an immersion into a world of adventure, meticulously crafted with an elegance that took our breath away. From the moment we stepped into the Grand Hall, it was clear that this ship is a masterpiece of design.

A Feast for the Eyes: The Design

The aesthetic of the Disney Treasure is a vibrant departure from the classic nautical look. We were immediately struck by the jewel-toned carpets—deep teals, royal purples, and rich golds that felt incredibly plush and regal. These colors carry through the paintwork and the stunning, detailed mosaics found throughout the ship. Whether it’s the intricate floral patterns flanking the columns or the magnificent peacock fountain, the craftsmanship is simply next-level! Homage is paid to Moana in with her own beautiful mosaic honoring her wayfinding heritage.

The Concierge Difference: A Level Above

If you are looking to elevate your vacation from “wow” to “legendary” Concierge Class is the way to go. It truly takes the Disney Cruise Line experience to a whole new level of luxury and convenience.

Seamless Start: We enjoyed priority embarkation, starting our journey in a private terminal lounge far away from the terminal crowds.

The Concierge Lounge: This became our home base. It offers rotating menu options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. The snacks are available all day, but the highlight was definitely the traditional teatime with fresh scones – my daughter and I were there at 3PM on the dot every day. This is also the only place to get fresh sushi daily.

The Ultimate Perks: The fridge is always stocked with drinks, but for our kids, the absolute winner was the all-day access to Dole Whip!

Showtime Luxury: Forget lining up an hour early. Concierge guests get priority entry 30 minutes before showtime. We walked in to find popcorn and water waiting for us and we have the pick of seats, before anyone else was allowed in the theater. Speaking of showtime – Moana is a must see!

Planning Magic: The Concierge team handles the stress. We sent in our shore excursion and ship reservation requests before the booking window even opened, and once it they took care of everything. This is a game-changer for snagging those elusive cabanas at Castaway Cay or Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, which usually disappear in seconds! When you receive your bookings confirmation, if you do not see a cabana and you requested one, do not give up hope! We did not get a cabana immediately, but one opened up about a month before we departed.

Debarkation Day: The one day all cruisers dread, the time to leave! (I'm not crying, you are) With concierge class the stress of this day is nonexistent. All you need to do is arrive either in the Concierge lounge or go straight the the elevator on the same deck as the lounge and one of the concierge will express the elevator down for you. It does not stop there, you will also be escorted past the long line of guests waiting to debark and into the line for concierge guests to tap your magic band one. last. time. Poof!Yyou are off the ship and on your way. No need to worry about getting up super early to be in the express walk off group (unless you want to), the concierge will assist you the whole way.

Adventure for All Ages

While the Disney Treasure shares some favorite features with her sister ship, the Disney Wish—like the high-energy AquaMouse and the sprawling, imaginative Kids’ Club—the experience felt uniquely fresh. Our kids dove into the programming, and frankly, it felt like we were both having our own separate, perfect vacations. They were immersed in designing their own roller coaster and gaga ball while we enjoyed the the Haunted Mansion or Tiana’s.

Broadway on the High Seas

Disney never misses when it comes to entertainment, but Moana was a revelation. It is Broadway-quality theater at its absolute best. What truly set it apart was the life-size puppetry; seeing Tamatoa, Te Kā, Te Fiti and other spirits brought to life on stage was a technical marvel we’ve never seen anywhere else, and we have been to quite a few Broadway and West End productions.

From the "Inaugural Sailing" swag to the sun-drenched days on Castaway Cay, the Disney Treasure exceeded every expectation. It manages to feel both grand and intimate, adventurous yet incredibly relaxing. If you’re considering a voyage, treat yourself to the Concierge experience—it turns a wonderful trip into a flawless one – however you have been warned, you may never go back.

Until next time, Disney Treasure! We’ve left a piece of our hearts (and probably a little Dole Whip) behind.
